Qualitest seeking a Senior Data Engineer (HCM Domain) to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions that power analytics, reporting, and integrations across Human Resources and Human Capital Management (HCM) systems. In this role, you will ensure data integrity, governance, and accessibility for critical workforce, payroll, and talent insights.
You will serve as a technical lead for HCM-related data engineering initiatives, leveraging deep expertise in HR systems and data architecture to deliver reliable, compliant, and scalable enterprise data solutions within platforms such as Oracle Fusion HCM. This role offers the opportunity to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, and IT teams to shape data strategy and enable advanced analytics.

Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows for HR and HCM data ingestion, transformation, and reporting.
* Integrate data from multiple HCM/HR systems (e.g., Oracle Fusion HCM, Workday, SuccessFactors, ADP, Payroll, Time & Attendance).
* Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and IT stakeholders to translate business and compliance requirements into scalable data solutions.
* Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and analytical structures optimized for workforce analytics and dashboards.
* Partner with analytics teams to deliver curated, high-quality datasets for reporting and insights.
* Implement robust data validation, auditing, and reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and quality.
* Build reusable, secure, and automated data assets to support HR analytics, workforce planning, and compliance reporting.
* Design and manage integrations with enterprise systems (ERP, Finance, HCM) using APIs (REST/SOAP) and data connectors.
* Optimize cloud-based data processing (OCI, AWS, Azure) for performance and cost efficiency.
* Implement and enforce data security, privacy, and governance aligned with HIPAA, GDPR, and related standards.
* Champion automation, CI/CD, and data engineering best practices.
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to cross-functional data initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
* 8+ years of progressive experience in data engineering or analytics, with 3+ years focused on HR/HCM data ecosystems.
* Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and frameworks such as Spark or PySpark.
* Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Talend, Airflow, dbt) and cloud-native data services (OCI Data Integration, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory).
* Familiarity with Oracle Fusion HCM data models, HDL/HCM Extracts, and OTBI subject areas (highly preferred).
* Experience with analytics and BI platforms such as Oracle Analytics Cloud, Power BI, Tableau, or Snowflake.
* Strong understanding of data governance, lineage, and quality frameworks.
* Proven experience with API-based integrations and automation in cloud environments.
* Knowledge of HR data privacy regulations (HIPAA, GDPR) and secure data management practices.
* Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
* Prior experience in consulting or large-scale HCM implementations preferred.
Prefer to Haves:
* Proven experience designing and implementing end-to-end data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows for HR and HCM data ingestion, transformation, and reporting.
* Hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC (Intelligent Data Management Cloud).
* Prior experience or domain knowledge working with HCM platforms (e.g., ADP, Oracle Fusion HCM).
