Automation Architect (UI, API & Mobile + AI)
Role Summary
The Automation Architect defines and drives the automation strategy across UI, API, and Mobile platforms. The role ensures scalable, maintainable frameworks and adopts AI-assisted testing capabilities were beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
* Architect automation frameworks for UI, API, and Mobile test environments.
* Define automation standards, reusable libraries, and best practices.
* Drive CI/CD integration and shift-left automation (API-first, contract testing).
* Evaluate and select automation tools and technologies.
* Integrate practical AI capabilities (LLMs, API-driven utilities) for:
Code generation
Test script optimization
Intelligent locator recommendations
* Collaborate closely with QA, Dev, DevOps, and Architecture teams.
* Provide guidance, coaching, and governance across automation teams.
* Track automation metrics, coverage, efficiency, and ROI.
Required Skills & Experience
* 10+ years in test automation; 3+ years in an architecture role.
* Expertise in Selenium / Playwright / Cypress, Appium, RestAssured, etc.
* Strong coding skills (Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#).
* Experience using AI tools such as LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI) and GitHub Copilot.
* Strong understanding of cloud, microservices, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
